In an interview with Eurogamer.net, Sony Worldwide Studios Boss Shuhei Yoshida has in very odd circumstances, confirmed that PlayStation 4 will play used games.
Tom Bramwell sat down with Yoshida after the reveal of PlayStation 4, and asked whether used games will be blocked. In what turned into a back and forth conversation for a few minutes, in-which Yoshida had a conversation with the Sony Japan PR representative, seeking clarification to the question being asked.
Before finally stating, “So, used games can play on PS4. How is that?” That is very good indeed Shuhei.
Rumours were sparked exactly two weeks ago, when a source close to Edge reported that the next-Xbox would have a constant internet connection, to prevent used games being played on the console. If this rumour is true, the next-Xbox could be setting an extremely bold move for next generation. Though it is only speculation, Edge were very reliable when it came to PlayStation 4 rumours, take that as you will.
But as we know, Sony fans need not worry, as used games will be available to play on PlayStation 4. Keep it tuned to Analog Addiction for all things PlayStation 4, the next-Xbox and used gaming.
