Microsoft and developer The Coalition have announced Gears of War 4 has gone gold ahead of its October release on Xbox One and Windows 10.
For those unaware, the term “going gold” means Gears of War 4 has finally finished the development stage and the final discs will begin being printed and shipped for purchase. The completion of Gears of War 4‘s development was celebrated by the entire development team from The Coalition, including the head of The Coalition Rod Fergusson and head of Xbox, Phil Spencer.
Gears of War 4 will support Cross Play across Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, which will be featured in all modes, including Versus, Campaign and the new Horde 3.0 Survival Mode. Alongside the announcement, a new Gears of War 4 launch trailer has been released; and can be seen above.
Gears of War 4 will launch worldwide for Xbox One and Windows 10 PC on October 11.
