Earlier this week two small games were announced called Pokemon X & Pokemon Y, the first full 3D visualized Pokemon games coming to the 3DS. This is the first time the series has come to the 3DS and we only have to wait until October until its release, so maybe I lied about the small part.

Well for those of you searching through the tall grass for any Pokemon detail you can throw a Pokeball, Nintendo have released the names of the two featured legendary Pokemon for the X & Y generation.

The representative of the Pokemon Y version is a large red bird-like creature named Yveltal, for those of you playing at home that is pronounced ee-vell-tawl.

Secondly representing the Pokemon X version of the game is a 4 legged blue deer-like monster, with huge ears almost peacock-like in colour. We are to call this Pokemon Xerneas, which again is pronounced zurr-nee-u.

Would like to thank Nintendo for clarifying how to pronounce these names, cause I didn’t have the slightest idea. Even though it is small information, it is quite exciting to known the names of the legendary Pokemon we will be gunning for later this year.

Are you excited for Pokemon X & Y? Which legendary looks cooler? Let us know in the comments below.
