2K has revealed the WWE 2K14 cover art, which features WWE Superstar Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The cover was unveiled during the last episode of Monday Night Raw, alongside the games first official trailer.

“I am exceptionally grateful to be chosen for the cover of WWE 2K14 and serve as the first cover Superstar under 2K’s leadership,” said The Rock. “I want the cover of WWE 2K14 to electrify the people.  I want the artwork to stand out and set a new standard for all WWE video games from 2K, both today and in the future.”

“WWE 2K14 represents a new era of the renowned WWE video game franchise, combining signature gameplay with 2K’s commitment to authenticity,”said Senior Director of Marketing at 2K, Chris Snyder. “The Rock epitomizes a 2K cover Superstar.  His credentials are world-class, and that is something we aspire to capture on both the cover and in the video game.”

2K has also announced an original cover artwork contest, where consumers have a chance to create an alternative artwork cover that will be distributed inside all retail copies of WWE 2K14.

The “Become Immortal” trailer that was recently released also features some of the playable characters and legends in WWE 2K14. Joining The Rock will be legends Shawn Michaels, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and current superstars John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and Ryback.

2K purchased the rights to publish the WWE video game series, after THQ’s unfotunate bankruptcy earlier this year.

WWE 2K14 will release on October 29 in North America and November 1 internationally, for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
