‘Worms Battlegrounds’ Receives PS4/Xbox One Release Date

Developer Team17 has announced Worms Battlegrounds will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One digitally, and physically at selected retailers, May 30.
Worms Battlegrounds will include single player, local and online multiplayer. Those playing on their own will enjoy 25 story missions and 10 “Worm Ops” time-attack missions, which will be set across five unique environments – Inca, Viking, Feudal Japan, Industrial Revolution, Prehistoric.
It was also revealed Worms Battlegrounds will features 65 weapons and utilities, which includes 10 new weapons that the franchise has never seen before. Players will do battle on 30% larger landscapes, that will feature day-to-night lighting transitions throughout.
Each next generation release will also feature console specific features. The PlayStation 4 version will utilise the DualShock 4’s Light Bar to indicate which worm you are playing, it will also flash red during attacks, green when your worm is poisoned and explosions and blue when your worm is under water. PlayStation 4 owners will also be able to assign weapons to the Touch Pad in order to quickly switch between weapons.While the Xbox One version will feature a SmartGlass companion app to keep track of your stats.
