Update: Rising Star Games have confirmed Deadly Premonition: The Directors Cut will release May 2 in Australia and New Zealand, exclusively on PlayStation 3.
It was also announced that pre-ordering the game will give players the exclusive “Expresso Suit” downloadable content, this new suit will increase Francis York Morgan’s tolerance to hunger and tiredness.
Rising Star Games is also working closely with Sony to offer PlayStation Plus members an exclusive pre-order bonus for pre-ordering the games digital version, if you don’t have PlayStation Plus membership a free 30 day trial membership with PlayStation Plus will be offered within a limited amount of boxed retail copies.

The original Xbox 360 version of Deadly Premonition garnered a very strong cult following, with mixed reactions amongst the gaming community. The Directors cut will release on PlayStation 3, with customers who pre-order receiving content “so plush that Agent York (and Zach) will feel like their investigation in the small country town of Greenvale just turned into a vacation.”
The Directors Cut will feature the ability to lock-on during combat, HD textures and a remappable control system. It will also receive an extra scenario, which will excite many hardcore fans.
This release date is for North America only, we have reached out to the Australian publisher for an exact international date and will update you if we hear any news.
