Update: Activision has responded to Examiner regarding the absence of Call of Duty: Ghosts being announced for Wii U consoles.
We don’t have any news for the Wii U at this time, as we aren’t dating next generation platforms yet. Stay tuned.
Activision seems to be holding Wii U in the same category as other next-generation platforms, this is no confirmation the same game will be coming to Nintendo’s console but it does provide hope.
Original Story: Activision has released the first teaser trailer for Call of Duty Ghosts.
With this newest installment of Call of Duty, series creator Infinity Ward is back in development. “Everyone was expecting us to make Modern Warfare 4, which would have been the safe thing to do,” said executive producer Mark Rubin, “We saw the console transition as the perfect opportunity to start a new chapter for Call of Duty. So we’re building a new sub-brand, a new engine, and a lot of new ideas and experiences for our players.”
Call of Duty Ghosts is to be shown at the next-generation Xbox announcement event on May 21st and.
The game has been confirmed for the Xbox 360, PS3, PC and the next-gen which effectively means PlayStation 4 and the next Xbox. However, there’s been no mention of a Wii U version just yet which is a bit strange considering 2012′s Call of Duty Black Ops II was on the Wii U.
