Watch Dogs creative director Jonathan Morin has stated Ubisoft is now “fully focused” on the Wii U version of Watch Dogs.

In an interview with Red Bull, Morin spoke about the Wii U version of Watch Dogs, giving good news to owners of the console wanting to experience Watch Dogs.

“Right now [the Wii U version is] currently being done, but I’m not directly involved,” Morin said. “We wanted to finish all the platforms that we are currently shipping. … The good news now is that they’re all fully focused on the Wii U version, making sure it gets the attention it deserves to make it the best version it can be.”

Earlier this year Ubisoft delayed the Wii U version of the title, stating “We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft.“

There is still now word when the Wii U version will be released, but reassurance that the title is now the central focus at Ubisoft is excellent news. Watch Dogs will still release May 27 for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
