Two Paid Expansions Announced for ‘The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’

CD Projekt Red has announced two story-driven paid DLC installments for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.


CD Projekt Red co-founder Marcin Iwinski stated that both installments will aim to give gamers “real value for money”. Iwinski compared these expansions to add-on discs, which will offer two large adventures set within The Witcher universe.

The first piece of DLC will be Hearts of Stone, which will contain over 10 hours of gameplay. Players will explore the No Man’s Land and Oxenfurt, where Geralt will try to complete a contract from the mysterious Man of Glass.

The second DLC installment will be called Blood and Wine and will offer over 20 hours of gameplay. Players will be introduced to a new region known as Toussaint, which despite its cheerful demeanor is hiding a bloody secret.

Hearts of Stone will cost $9.99, while Blood and Wine will cost $19.99. Those who wants to purchase the expansion pass will receive both pieces of content for $24.99. While a bundle including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and both expansions will also be available for $84.99 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and $79.99 on PC.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt launches worldwide on May 19 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
