Executive Producer on Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Scott Amos, has returned to explore the improvements to the island of Yamatai in the upcoming next generation version of Tomb Raider.
The original textures used in Tomb Raider have been improved 4x to provide an amazing visual experience at 1080p resolution. The foliage, trees and bushes on the island have also been improved and can now be interacted with Lara as she runs through them on her journey, you will also notice the vegetation reacting to the weather effects on the island.
These are just a handful of subtle improvements that have been made to add a greater sense of immersion in the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, alongside improved reactive water effects, new dynamically lit particles and much more.
Stay tuned to Analog Addiction for our full review of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition tomorrow, until then check out Scott Amos describe the improvements to Lara Croft herself.
