Ubisoft has confirmed The Division will not feature player-to-player trading or selling at launch.

In an interview with GamesRader, associate creative director Julian Gerighty stated the feature “wouldn’t be in the game at launch”, advising that the “priority of different features” was the reason behind its absence.

“It’s the reality of production. Some features make it, some features don’t,” Gerighty added. Although the feature will not be included at launch, there is a chance the options will be added in the future. “It’s something that obviously some people are very passionate about, it’ll maybe make an appearance in the future.”

The Division will enter closed beta later this month, with the beta launching January 28 for Xbox One and January 29 for PlayStation 4 and PC, before ending January 31 on all platforms. The Division is set to launch worldwide on March 8 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
