Namco Bandai Games Europe has announced the launch of physical Games Cards for Tekken Card Tournament, which will be available at EB Games stores Australia wide.

Booster packs will contain five cards out of the possible 191 cards in the collection. Each card brings bonus in-game features to Tekken Card Tournament, varying from power-ups, collectible art, augmented reality characters, new cards via the card fusion system and extra chances to get super rare powers for Heihachi.

“The support of the Tekken fans for Tekken Card Tournament has been incredible, and with the launch of the physical cards we’re giving them even more exciting possibilities to enjoy the game,” said Olivier Comte, Senior Vice President, Namco Bandai Games Europe. “These cards bring so many extra features, not least of all is the ability to take the mighty Heihachi and its rare powers into battle.”

Each card contains a unique QR card to unlock specific in-game bonuses and power-ups. Using the augmented reality feature of the app, players can transfer their favourite characters into the environment around them; with the ability to take photos and share with friends.

Players can also collect sets of 9 art cards featuring exclusive designs such as the Japanese woodblock style artwork and the Lili bikini poster. The cards purchased can also be used to play standalone games, without the need of any other devices.

The free-to-play Tekken Card Tournament has been downloaded more than 4 million times and is available on smartphones, tablets, and web browsers.
