‘Tearaway Unfolded’ PlayStation 4 Release Date Announced

Sony and Media Molecule have announced Tearaway Unfolded will launch September 9 on PlayStation 4.


Tearaway Unfolded is a reimagining of the original PlayStation Vita release, which includes new ways to play. Tearaway Unfolded will also feature enhanced Photo Sharing, which includes “endless possibilities” via its companion app.

Tearaway Unfolded is also available for pre-order from the PlayStation Store right now, with pre-orders including one of two bonus content packs, which include exclusive costumes and decorations inspired by iconic PlayStation favourites.

The first pack is called the Pop-Up Pack featuring a shiny Gold Leaf players can wear on the headband of their messengers, alongside an exclusive Journey themed costume. The pack also includes five custom decorations inspired by Lemmings, Gravity Rush, No Man’s Sky and The Order: 1886; as well as the Tearaway Unfolded soundtrack featuring all the original tracks from the game.

The second pack is called the Torn-Away Pack and includes a shining Gold Stamp to adorn your messengers, as well as an exclusive God of War costume. Players will also receive five custom decorations from PlayStation titles God of War, InFamous, The Last of Us, Killzone and, the Pig Crown seen in the PlayStation Vita version.

Players can also purchase the Tearaway Unfolded: Messenger Edition which will include a unique version of the game with alternate cover art, and the Torn-Away Pack.  Both packs will include the Sackboy and Baby Wendigo papercraft plans for fans to make before the game releases.


While those seeking an adorable version of the game can purchase the Special Edition of Tearaway Unfolded from selected retailers. This edition includes a rare and extremely cute adorable atoi plushi, alongside the Torn-Away Pack. Analog Addiction loved the original Tearaway, praising the charming and unique world.
