‘Strider’ Release Date Announced, New Modes Confirmed

Capcom has announced that Strider will be available to download across Europe on February 19 for PlayStation Network (PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4), Xbox Live (Xbox 360, Xbox One) and PC (Steam).
Alongside the announcement two new Challenge Modes have been included to the core Story Mode featured in Strider.
Beacon Run is the first of these modes, which offers a ” speed run” race style experience mode that gives players a white-knuckled experience, challenging them to hit consecutive checkpoints while slicing through their enemies in the shortest time possible. The second mode is known as Survival and will test players combat skills with a variety item and ability load outs, as waves of diverse enemies become more challenging.
Global online leaderboards will track players scores in both Challenge Modes, including players times and results in Story Mode.
The original Strider released as an arcade title in 1989, Double Helix is the studio behind the reboot who also developed the Xbox One exclusive Killer Instinct.
