Patch 1.7 for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is now available to users through Steam. Console owners are not being forgotten however, as the current plan is to submit the update to manufacturers this week.

Bethesda has confirmed via its official blog, that the patch has now completed beta testing and console manufacturers will receive the update this week. So the wait should almost be over for Skyrim’s console counterparts.

HADOUKEN!

The blog reads, “Skyrim’s 1.7 title update is now out of beta and available to all Steam users. Simply load up Skyrim on Steam and you’ll get the update. For those on consoles, the current plan is to submit the update to console manufacturers this week. As soon as it’s available, we’ll let you know.”

Skyrim has been all over the news this week, when word that the 30 day exclusive deal for the Skyrim DLC expansion Dawnguard has finished and no date was yet set for its PlayStation 3 and PC release. PlayStation 3 owners will also be greeted with Patch 1.6’s mounted combat when this latest patch arrives.

We will keep you posted when official release dates for the patch and Dawnguard expansion are announced, until then the wait continues.
