Developer DICE has revealed Star Wars Battlefront will not feature microtransactions.

During a recent interview with Gamespot, Star Wars Battlefront Design Director Niklas Fegraeus confirmed that players will simply be able to unlock new items by completing challenging and playing the game.

“Well the currency system is based on your game performance,” said Fegraeus. “The credits that you use to buy things in the game are earned. You play the game, complete challenges, and that’s how you get credits.”

When Gamespot further clarified if earning items by performance will be the only way to obtain items, Fegraeus responded stating, “Yes, that’s what’s in the game. Absolutely.”

Analog Addiction wants to know if you will be playing the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront beta this week, which will be available from October 8 to October 12 on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Store and Origin for PC players.
