EA has announced the Star Wars Battlefront Beta will begin in “early October”.
The Beta will be coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, through Origin. The Beta will contain a 40 player multiplayer battle between the Empire and the Rebels, known as Walker Assault on Hoth. Included in this battle will be Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker, allowing players to get a taste of their overwhelming power on the battlefield.
The Beta will also feature a Survival Mission on Tatooine, as two players fight back the Imperial forces as Rebels. Players will also get to experience a brand new mode called Drop Zone, but information on this mode will be revealed in the coming weeks.
During the Beta players can also down the Star Wars Battlefront Companion app, which features a strategic card game called Base Command, allowing players to unlock Star Cards, weapons and more in Star Wars Battlefront. Players can also check their statistics, progression, customise load-outs, connect with friends and more through the application.
The Star Wars Battlefront Companion app will be available on the App Store, Google Play and on the web, prior to the release of Star Wars Battlefront on November 19. You can also check out the gorgeous Star Wars Battlefront themed gaming headset that was announced last week here.
