Sony has stated they are “working closely” with Bethesda to try and bring Skyrim’s downloadable content to PlayStation 3 gamers. Sony vice president Adam Boyes stated in a recent interview, that Sony’s development support team assists all third party publishers in correcting any technical problems they are facing when getting their content on PlayStation 3. This of course includes Bethesda.

Sony’s illusive white rabbit

Boyes told Kotaku, “We work with all of our partners to try and solve their problems. We have a big, broad dev support team that works closely with Bethesda, and with all of our partners, to work with them to solve that any sort of issues they have along the way. Of course, I always want everything to work always for everyone. I can’t promise any kind of resolution or timeline but can say that everyone involved is trying their best to get this stuff working.” Sony has their gamers in mind, as they try their best to fix any problems with the Skyrim content.

Recently Bethesda said it was “not yet satisfied with Dawnguard’s performance on the PS3.” Worse news came when they later suggested that the downloadable content may never appear on PlayStation 3, when they also added “this is not a problem we’re positive we can solve.”

Though Skyrim’s Dawnguard and the recently released Hearthfire content were never officially announced to be coming to the PlayStation 3, the Dawnguard content has been released on the Xbox 360 and PC versions. With the recent Hearthfire content already released to Xbox 360 gamers.

Is anyone holding out for the content on PlayStation 3? Do you think Sony can correct this issue? Let us know in the comments below.
