PlayStation President Andrew House has acknowledged the lack of first party games coming to the PlayStation 4 throughout the remainder of 2015.
House acknowledged the “sparse” first party lineup during the annual Investor Day Conference, stating he believes Sony will be putting a greater emphasis on third party software.
“Our first party lineup is a little sparse this year, so I think this places even greater emphasis on getting good third party support,” House said.
The lack of a strong first party lineup was created when Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was delayed until 2016, leaving quite a huge hole in Sony’s holiday 2015 lineup. It was also recently revealed the Ratchet and Clank re-imagining would also see a delay into 2016.
E3 2015 will begin next month, with Sony’s E3 conference taking place on June 15. Last year Sony revealed LittleBigPlanet 3 during its E3 press event for a holiday 2014 release, so perhaps Sony has an announcement or two for this holiday season during this year’s event.
