Announced late last week, the second downloadable content pack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has now been released on Xbox Live. The Hearthfire pack will cost 400 Microsoft points, or in plain English $5. As always the downloadable content is currently exclusive for Xbox 360 gamers, which will last around one month’s time.

Just kidding

Hearthfire will allow players to purchase a block of land and then from there, build their dream residence from the ground up. These houses can range from a small one bedroom cottage, to a mansion including an armory, alchemy laboratory, stable, trophy room, garden, fish hatcheries and more. Players will also be able to craft new items on the carpenter’s workbench, to give their house unique decorations.

This DLC pack will also give players the ability to adopt children; you will also have to take care of the children you adopt, from feeding them to keeping them entertained. What affects neglecting your children will produce, has yet to be detailed.

Hearthfire follows the release of Dawnguard for Xbox 360 and PC players, sadly still no word if the Sony version of Dawnguard or Hearthfire will make its way to PlayStation 3. But it was confirmed late last week that Bethesda was encountering some trouble porting the DLC, but is now working with Sony to hopefully have it released.

Excited to adopt a kid and ignore it? Or finally make your ultimate pimp-pad in Skyrim? Let us know in the comments below.
