‘Skylanders Swap Force’ Now Available in Australia

Activision has announced Skylanders Swap Force is now available throughout Australia for the Nintendo Wii, Wii U, 3DS, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions launching alongside the console launches next month.



Swap Force allows players to freely mix-and-match their Skylanders figures to create more than 250 unique combinations, if the player owns all 16 toys Swap Force figures.

“Skylanders is a brand built on one thing: magic. With each and every Skylanders title, we want to deliver new, delightful innovations to our young fans that continue to blur the lines between physical and digital play,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision Publishing.

“With Skylanders SWAP Force, we’ve taken this genre to a whole new level by giving players the greatest power of all: choice. In a franchise known for breakthrough innovation, I have no doubt that SWAP Force is our most innovative Skylanders game yet. And we’re thrilled to share it with fans of all ages all over the world today.”


Skylanders Swap Force features 40 new collectible characters all possessing unique abilities and personalities, 16 new Swap Force characters, 16 core Skylanders characters and 8 new LightCore characters. Additionally every previous character in both the previously released Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure and Skylanders Giants can be used in Swap Force.

Swap Force also features drop-in/drop-out cooperative play, new features such as flying, climbing and teleporting, and various Battle and Survival Modes in all new arenas.


Nintendo 3DS owners will experience new game levels and story that is unique to the handheld, with three new characters – Rattle Shake, Volcanic Eruptor and Free Ranger – which are not available in any other Force Starter Pack. All new characters introduced in Swap Force have been confirmed to be playable on Skylanders Lost Island and Skylanders Battlegrounds mobile titles, which are available now on iOS and will be available on Android November 2.
