2K and Firaxis Games has announced Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol: Pacific Skies will arrive on Steam and the App Store this spring as a premium game for Windows PC, iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.

Pacific Skies is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol, allowing players to take part in the battles of the skies during the Pacific Ocean Theatre of World War II.

Players can personalise their own pilot profile and aircraft, as they embark on a variety of missions and unlock special skill sets, upgrades and manoeuvres. There will also be a selection of iconic America and Japanese fighter planes from the army or aviation units for players to control through historical battles, such as Pearl Harbour, Midway and Guadalcanal.

The Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol series draws inspirations from real war stories from famed military aviators.
