Rockstar Games has advised Xbox 360 players to avoid installing Grand Theft Auto V’s play disc, due to performance issues that may occur.

Rockstar Support issued the statement in a Twitter post below.

@mfw For optimal performance, we recommend not installing that disc. We will have more info on our Support Site at launch. — Rockstar Support (@RockstarSupport) September 16, 2013

Grand Theft Auto V appears on two 8GB disc for Xbox 360, with the first disc being a mandatory ‘install’ disc and the second disc is the actual ‘play’ disc. This isn’t an issue for PlayStation 3 owners, as Grand Theft Auto V only comes on the one disc.

If you’re planning to play Grand Theft Auto V on your Xbox 360, it seems it is best to adhere to these warnings to experience a smooth Grand Theft Auto V adventure.

Grand Theft Auto V is available now on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and our review will be up very soon.
