Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix has announced the Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration, which will launch for PlayStation 4 on October 11.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration brings the previously released Rise of the Tomb Raider to PlayStation 4, with additional content and all previously released DLC. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will feature a new story chapter titled Blood Ties (which will feature PlayStation VR support), a new cooperative Endurance mode, outfits, weapons and and the Limited Edition will include a limited edition art book.

Xbox One and PC players will not miss out on the new content (aside from PlayStation VR support), with all new content available automatically for Season Pass holders and those without a Season Pass able to purchase the new content piece by piece.

Blood Ties will feature the Croft Manor and players will be able to explore the new location, as well as defend it in a zombie invasion iteration called Lara’s Nightmare. Blood Ties will have Lara’s uncle contest the ownership of Croft Manor, which forces Lara to explore the estate to find proof she is the rightful heir. While Lara’s Nightmare will feature a haunted version of Croft Manor with new challenges and an evil presence that must be removed.

The online co-op expansion known as Endurance mode will allow players to work together to raid tombs and survive the wilderness. Players must team up to survive and defeat enemies to produce high scores for the online leaderboards.

Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will also feature a re-envisioned version of the cold-weather outfit and Hailstorm pistol that was featured in Tomb Raider III. While a special Lara card pack will allow fans to replay the game utilising classic Lara Croft skins from the series history. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will also feature a new Extreme Survivor difficulty that will remove all checkpoints, with the only options to save available when enough resources have been collected to light campfires.
