Ubisoft has confirmed today that Rayman Legends, the Wii U exclusive platformer will be released in Australia and New Zealand on February 28, 2013. For those in other territories, expect the release date to be around the same time period.

If waiting that long seems like a chore, keep it tuned to the Nintendo eShop where a demo of the aforementioned game will be released on December 13, only a few days away.

Rayman Legends is the follow-up to Rayman Origins, which was critically loved for its beautiful art style, great 2D platforming elements and diverse level variety. Rayman Legend also provides Wii U gamers with innovative multiplayer experiences with the Wii U Gamepad, players using the Gamepad can navigate through the game with touch based gameplay and also use the gyroscope built into the Gamepad to rotate platforms. This will allow for very cooperative couch co-op gameplay, for fans of the series. Rayman Legends will also be 100% playable on the Wii U Gamepad alone, while the rest of your family enjoys the television, you can continue your progress on the Gamepad screen.

Rayman Legends is one of the most anticipated Wii U exclusives on the horizon and it is only a few month away, keep it tuned to Analog Addiction for all your Rayman needs.
