System Software Update 3.10 for PlayStation Vita will be available to download later today, increasing the application limit and adding some new features.

Announced on the PS Blog, System Software Update 3.10 will increase the number of application allowed on the Vita’s home screen to 500, as well as the new ability to send and receive voice messages from PlayStation 4 and other Vita handhelds.

PlayStation Vita will also see the introduction of a new Calendar application, which has the ability to sync with your own personal Google calendar and allow you to share your favourite events through the Messages or Email applications.

Lastly, a new Manage Content on Memory Card option has been added to the Content Manager application. Vita owners will now be able to view the data on their memory card and manage content easier. Once the update is installed you will be able to view memory usage by content type, and delete content and applications.
