THQ has been very generous as of late and their generosity continues for fans of Metro: Last Light, anyone who pre-orders the game will be upgraded to the newly announced Limited Edition free and receive Ranger Mode. Ranger Mode is the hardcore mode featured in Metro 2033, the Limited Edition also comes with bonus weapon upgrades and equipment, including an AKS-74U rifle.

Those of you who pre-order on Play Station Network will also receive some free goodies, starting December 18th those who pre-order Metro: Last Light will receive a free digital copy of Homefront. Sadly the copy of Homefront will arrive on the same day, so it may sit on the back burner while you get lost in Metro’s latest adventure, but you will also receive a free Metro: Last Light PSN theme at the time of pre-order. But really can we complain about a free game?

THQ creative strategist Huw Beynon stated, “Ranger Mode provides the definitive Metro experience,”. He also explains the great love for the mode amongst fans, “It’s deservedly regarded as one of the most immersive, atmospheric challenges in gaming and we think fans will be very happy to see its return in the Metro: Last Light Limited Edition.”

Metro: Last Light will release in March 2013 for PC, Xbox 360 and Play Station 3 and I will be the lucky person to review the game, stay tuned for more Metro news and my review this coming March.
