PlayStation VR Price Revealed, Launching October

Sony has finally revealed the highly anticipated PlayStation VR will launch in October of this year.
The announcement was made at an exclusive press event at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco. The PlayStation VR will officially launch in October of this year in Japan, North America, Europe, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. PlayStation VR’s price was also revealed, and it will sell for a recommended retail price of £349.99/€399.99/AUD$549.95/NZD$629.95, with pre-orders now available.
“Ever since we unveiled PS VR during the 2014 Game Developers Conference, we’ve received a tremendous response from gamers and developers alike,” said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment.“To make sure that we are able to prepare and deliver enough units of PS VR and a wide variety of software titles to consumers worldwide, we have decided to launch PS VR in October 2016. For those who are looking forward to its launch, we would like to thank everyone for their patience and continued support. We are beyond excited to deliver to consumers the amazing experience that PS VR offers.”
Currently more than 230 developers and publishers are working on PlayStation VR related software titles, which range from small independent studios, to larger studios and top tier publishers. PlayStation VR will also support a Cinematic mode, which will include support for standard PlayStation 4 games and videos.
No exact release date has been confirmed at this time, but prepare for a full PlayStation VR launch in October.
