Sony Computer Entertainment Australia has today announced PlayStation Vita Pets will release in Australia in 2014.

PlayStation Vita Pets allows players to take care of a pet of their choosing, as they respond to your voice and face as you teach them new tricks, solve puzzles and undertake exciting adventures. Unlike other pet simulators, players will be tasked to solve puzzles such as the legends of Castlewood Island throughout the experience.

Each pet will be able to speak, allowing each pet to have their own unique personality. Giving players the feeling that their pet is the real deal, this is further emphasised through the Vita’s augmented reality technology. Which allows your pet to roll, walk and play within real world locations.

Players will also be able to dress their pets, so they look as cute as possible for the many adventures that await them.

PlayStation Vita Pets will release exclusively on PlayStation Vita next year.
