Sony Computer Entertainment has announced the PlayStation 4 has cumulatively sold through 30.2 million units worldwide.

The new figures calculate all PlayStation 4 sales as of November 22. Sony has also stated that these figures “continue to demonstrate the fastest and strongest growth in PlayStation hardware history”, meaning the PlayStation 4 is still officially outpacing the PlayStation 2 in terms of sales within the same time frame of release.

“We are sincerely grateful that gamers across the globe have continued to choose PS4 as the best place to play since launch two years ago,” said Andrew House, President and Global CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. “We are committed to bringing engaging games and entertainment services to users worldwide. Thanks to the support of our partners, PS4 continues to be the premier platform for game and interactive entertainment innovation.”

Earlier this year Sony revealed the PlayStation 4 had sold over 18.5 million units, meaning that the PlayStation 4 has now sold over 10 million units within the calendar year of 2015. The PlayStation 4 console officially launched in 2013 and is now available in over 124 different countries and regions worldwide.
