Over 6 Million PlayStation 4 Consoles Sold Worldwide

Sony has announced they have now sold over six millions PlayStation 4’s worldwide.


The announcement was made on PlayStation’s Twitter, before further information was released on the PSBlog. These new numbers come after a successful launch in Japan which saw over 322,000 consoles being sold in 48 hours.

Sony has revealed over 90% of the PlayStation 4 consoles sold in the United State have been connected online, alongside a plethora of new statistics. There has now been over 3,6 million live broadcasts, more than 56 million spectate sessions on PlayStation 4 through Twitch and Ustream, and over 100 million shares have been captured using the DualShock 4’s new Share button.

Sony recently revealed the latest PlayStation Plus offerings coming to PlayStation owners in March.
