Surprise Attack Games and Chocolate Liberation Front have announced Oscura: Lost Light is now available on the Mac App Store.

Players control Oscura, the apprentice to the lighthouse keeper, who inadvertently destroys the Aurora Stone, plunging the land into darkness. Oscura: Lost Light also features a unique silhouette based art style, as players use light-based powers to traverse the environment. Oscura must master these light powers in order to restore light to the land, which include creating and destroying objects, reversing gravity and slowing down time.

Oscura: Lost Light blends old school platforming with modern design, challenging players to restore the light and life of the Driftlands. The Oscura series originally debuted on mobile devices, before Oscura: Lost Light launched on PC, Mac and Linux via Steam and the Humble Store in February, 2015.

Analog Addiction reviewed Oscura: Lost Light earlier this year stating, “Oscura: Lost Light is a puzzle-platformer that initially feels fresh and fun. But if the allure of a tough challenge and a lot of trial and error aren’t attractive to you, you might not be able to get past the game’s quirky physics, technical issues, and difficulty.”
