Nintendo Announces Wii U Price and Release Date

During Nintendo’s Wii U preview event in New York City, the release date for the system has now been announced. The Wii U will release in North America on November 18th, with the European version to be released November 30th. Other regions have not been announced at this point.

The Wii U will be released in two models.

The Basic Model: Featuring 8GB of memory and will include the console, a GamePad, HDMI cable, sensor bar and an AC adapter. This model will be priced at $299.99 in the US.

The Deluxe Model: Featuring 32GB of internal memory and also including all the same additions as the basic model, plus a GamePad charging cradle, stand for both GamePads and the console itself, plus a copy of Nintendo Land. The Deluxe set will be priced at $349.99 in the US.

It was also announced earlier today that the Wii U will be released on December 8th in Japan.
