Nintendo has announced a new system update is now available for the Wii U, which will focus on enhancing the user experience.
Wii U owners will now see the addition of a Quick Start feature for the Wii U GamePad. Once the download is installed players can view the Quick Start screen, which will feature icons of the last 10 recently used or installed applications. Simply clicking on the corresponding icon will start up the game or software without first loading the Wii U menu.
Nintendo has also outlined other details in the update, which include the ability to receive visual notifications about new games, products and special promotions, an easier Nintendo Network ID setup for new users and the ability to access notifications from the Home Menu.
The update also brings improvements to process of system updates which will now see them not only downloaded automatically, but now installed automatically as well.
