Deep Silver has announced NASCAR ’14 will release in North America and PAL territories in early 2014. The Eutechnyx developed racing title will release for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will retail for $49.99.

“NASCAR is a hugely popular sport, second only to the NFL in TV ratings with licensed games having been published by Activision in recent years. Deep Silver is thrilled to have acquired the publishing rights to NASCAR ’14 and looks forward to cultivating a long-term relationship with both the fans and the franchise,” says Deep Silver Inc. COO, Geoff Mulligan.

NASCAR ’14 will offer players a full-fledged Career Mode, where racers must work their way through the ranks; with custom car builds, sponsor acquisition, and R&D to claim victory. Players can choose from a list of official NASCAR teams and drivers, as well as race on well known tracks such as Daytona, Sonoma and Talladega.

Alongside Career Mode players can host online leagues to race against friends, with only statistics, challenges, and rankings also offers. Online races will be determined on players skills, and will allow an easy drop in/out server browser functionality.

Deep Silver has also announced the “Drive for the Cover” campaign for NASCAR ’14, allowing fans to vote for their choice to adorn the cover for the game. The contest will take place through till the end of the 2013 Sprint Cup season and will be updated each week with new match-ups. The winner will be announced in early December during NASCAR Champion’s Week in Las Vegas, alongside the official NASCAR ’14 cover reveal.
