Namco Announces ‘Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures’

Namco Bandai Games Europe has today announced the return of Pac-Man, in Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures.
Ghostly Adventures follows the new storyline and new characters from the soon-to-be released animated series of the same name. Produced by Avi Arad, the TV series will air in Australia from September 2013.
Taking place in the land of Pac-World, the evil Betrayus and his Netherworld Ghosts forcibly takes control of the land. Our yellow hero must save the day using his Ghost-chomping ability, which will feature various power-ups that hearken to Pac-Man of old.
“As one of the most iconic and popular video game character, Pac-Man has virtually become the symbol of our company” spoke Olivier Comte, Senior Vice-President at Namco Bandai Games Europe. “As a wish to renew the Pac-Man franchise and bring it to the new generation of gamers, we are proud to introduce a brand new concept in the Pac-Man universe, with Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures”.
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures will be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation3 and Wii U. With a side-scrolling version to be released on Nintendo 3DS.
