PlayStation Japan has released a mysterious new trailer, for what looks to be an upcoming title known as “Panopticon”.
The trailer was unveiled when a mysterious counter hit its intended target of 1,000,000 years. The trailer shows the game in question is being developed by Studio Japan, though no further information was released.
During the trailer we are shown glimpses of busy city streets, futuristic settings and even post-apocalyptic areas.
We are also shown a group individuals who seems to be hunting down civilians, this group also is able to see counters similar to counter we were given before the trailer unveil, above civilians heads.
The trailer then showcases an epic battle between a cybernetic dragon and a group of soldiers, could these be the same group as previously shown? However the battle takes a twist when one character loses her arm, which hints at the fact she is definitely not human.
This idea of counters continues in the very last scene as a baby is born with the number “1,000,000” over their head. Could this baby be the very same character who lost their arm? We are also shown a glimpse of cup someone has been using to try and collect money, with the note “Need cash for life”.
Could the idea of purchasing life come into play? Could cybernetic humans exist? It is all very skeptical at the moment, but there are definitely some mysteriously odd factors at play.
We will update you when we have more information on this new Studio Japan title.
