Australian Android users will be able to purchase the new MOGA Mobile Gaming System at the start of August, the portable gaming controllers throw away the use of in-decisive touch controls and allow for a console-like experience on the go. Two variations of the controllers are will be released – the MOGA Pocket and Pro controllers. Both have an array of different features and vary in price, and we have all the details to help you choose the best controller for the job.

The MOGA Pocket Controller ($59.00RRP)

Featuring dual analogue sticks, shoulder triggers and four action buttons, console gamers will feel right at home. The device will connect to your device wirelessly through Bluetooth, with no extra hardware needed, however does require batteries. The controller is built to minimise wrist fatigue during long gaming sessions and its ergonomic design maximises portability.

The MOGA Pro Controller ($79.00RRP)

The Pro Controller is built for extended play, with full-sized grips and a D-pad to go alongside your dual analogue sticks. Unlike the Pocket the Pro Controller does not require batteries and is fully rechargeable, it is also HID enabled giving players a greater selection of titles.

“We’re really excited to be bringing the MOGA gaming ecosystem to the Aussie audience as it’s already been a proven game-changer in the US and UK markets” commented Eric Bensussen, President of PowerA. ”Going beyond the simple touchscreen point and flick mechanisms,  our controller gives users full control of their character or conquest, whilst also allowing the graphics to be shown off in all their  glory. MOGA is shifting the dial for smartphones, making them not just mobile social media and comms devices that we know and love, but also powerful and engaging gaming devices!”

MOGA will launch with major publisher support from Sega, Rockstar Games, Namco Bandai and many more. Offering players over 100 supported titles including Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Real Soccer 2013 and PACMAN. Finding supported games will be easy with the free, downloadable MOGA Pivot app which will be updated constantly with an “extensive collection of new games every month.”

Both variations of MOGA devices are available to pre-order from EB Games, offering Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour alongside the controller as added incentive.

If you’re interested in the MOGA Mobile Gaming Controllers, they will be on display at PAX Australia in Melbourne, from July 19 to 21.
