Microsoft has today announced the introduction of “Xbox Fitness”, which is a new online service built exclusively for the Xbox One that offering players interactive fitness videos from around the globe.

It was confirmed through Microsoft’s newswire popular fitness instructors such as Jillian Michaels, Tracy Anderson, Tony Horton, Shaun T and more will be appearing on “Xbox Fitness”, which will be available free for Xbox Live Gold members.

Xbox One’s Kinect technology is stated to be able to monitor your heart rate, monitor your most engaged muscles by measuring power, force and transfer of weight in your body, and measuring your balance, temp and form.

“What makes Xbox Fitness so innovative is the feedback it gives you.” said Shaun T.  “The Kinect sensor can evaluate your form, tell how high you’re jumping, how hard you’re punching and even read your heart rate. It’s that little missing piece of validation that hasn’t been possible for home fitness products before.  Xbox Fitness completes the puzzle.”

“Xbox Fitness” will deliver personalised workout programs based on your history and past performances, which can last between 10 and 60 minutes in length. Challenges have also been integrated within “Xbox Fitness” to offer competitive social challenges, awards and also allow you to compare your performance with other users around the world.

“Xbox Fitness” will launch December 2014.
