Sony confirmed today that the upcoming title called ‘Lone Survivor’, will be available on PlayStation 3 and Vita utilizing Cross-Buy, Cross-Play and Trophy functionality.
If the title seems familiar, this indie PC game released early last year to much critical acclaim. Though word of the game appearing on Sony platforms was released in November last year, this is the first time any solid information was given regarding the games details. This adds to the increasingly long list of indie PC titles coming to Sony consoles, with ‘Hotline Miami ‘ being announced to appear earlier this year.
‘Lone Survivor’ creator Jasper Byrne of Superflat Games expresses great passion when he describes the games aesthetic, “More than anything, I wanted Lone Survivor to be a game that approaches issues rarely touched on in games – from the shattering effects of grief, through mental health issues, to the examination of drug use and abuse. It’s one of the reasons the game took more than four years to create.”
The PlayStation version of the game will also include exclusive items, dialogue and more. ‘Lone Survivor’ will launch July on both PlayStation 3 and Vita, at a undisclosed price.
