Bungie and Activision have announced that the Destiny – House of Wolves Expansion is now available to download on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
House of Wolves is the second expansion to launch for Destiny, following The Dark Below expansion that was released in December last year.
House of Wolves includes a myriad of new features to Bungie’s open world shooter, which include new weapons, armour, story missions, quests, new competitive multiplayer maps and a new cooperative Strike mission. House of Wolves also adds the new Crucible multiplayer mode Trials of Osiris, as well as a new cooperative arena activity known as the Prison of Elders.
The Trials of Osiris mode is a new weekly elimination event, where players must create a team of three and outplay their opposing combatants; unfortunately it was confirmed there will be no team matchmaking for this mode, with teams needed to be created outside of the mode before entry. While the Prison of Elders has a team of three players battle increasingly difficult waves of enemies, in order to earn legendary and exotic rewards.
House of Wolves also increases the current Light Level cap to 34, while also introducing a new Social Space located in The Reef.
The House of Wolves Expansion will cost $24.95 as a standalone purchase, or can be purchased in the Destiny Expansion Pass for $39.95, which will also include The Dark Below expansion. In celebration of the House of Wolves launch, all competitive multiplayer maps from The Dark Below are now available for everyone to enjoy, regardless of purchase.
