Developer Treyarch Studios has announced the starting date of the Call of Duty: Black Op III beta.

We're excited to announce that the #BlackOps3 Multiplayer Beta will begin on 8/19 starting on PS4. More information coming soon! — Treyarch Studios (@Treyarch) July 8, 2015

The beta will begin on PlayStation 4 consoles on August 19. Though the beta will begin first on PlayStation 4, it is also planned to roll out for PC and Xbox One platforms. No announcement dates for other consoles have been revealed at this time.

In order to gain access to the Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta players must pre-order the upcoming release, with no other means of gaining access to the beta announced at this time.

The Call of Duty: Black Ops III beta was originally revealed alongside the official game announce in April. Footage of Call of Duty: Black Ops III was also revealed during Sony’s E3 press conference, where it was revealed PlayStation platforms would receive DLC first over Xbox platforms; which was originally the other way around in previous years.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is scheduled to launch worldwide on November 6, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
