2K Games have announced they will not have a booth at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, via the publishers website.
The company stated, “At 2K, we’re excited for the new opportunities coming with the next generation of hardware, and are hard at work preparing our announced titles for release,” However did acknowledge they will have “a lot of great news coming your way this spring,”
Though 2K will not have a booth at the show, parent company Take-Two Interactive will still hold its typical business meetings at the event.
Joystiq received confirmation from a Take-Two spokesperson, “We are going to have a meeting room in the upper concourse level and we’ll be doing some business meetings as we usually do, 2K is not participating.”
2K this week announced The Bureau: XCOM Declassified and Rockstar announced brand new trailers for the 2K published Grand Theft Auto V, which will release next week.
This is not the first company to take a smaller role in E3 proceedings, with Nintendo recently announcing they will not host a major press conference at the event.
