Update: Supermassive has also revealed Until Dawn will launch in North America on August 25.
Original Story: Supermassive Games has announced the release date for the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive horror, Until Dawn, alongside new pre-order details, new gameplay trailer and the addition of a new cast member.
Until Dawn will launch August 26 in PAL territories, and August 28 in the United Kingdom and Ireland. Until Dawn is also available for pre-order from today, with those who pre-order receiving a special bonus scene between characters Matt an Emily, whom are described as “a new couple, out on the mountain….but it’s not long until they start to suspect they are not alone”.
Those looking to pre-order Until Dawn will be able to choose from three editions, which include the Standard Edition, the Extended Edition and the Steelbook Edition.
Supermassive also confirmed Peter Stormare as a new cast member of Until Dawn, who you may know from the hit TV series Prison Break, or more recently Arrow as Count Vertigo. He joins the likes of Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Brett Dalton (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D) and others who have already been confirmed as part of the cast.
Until Dawn was originally announced as a PlayStation Move based horror for the PlayStation 3, before it was re-revealed as a PlayStation 4 exclusive. In Until Dawn your choices will determine the fate of 8 teenagers, where your choices will decide who lives to see the dawn, and who dies.
