Coldwood Interactive and Electronic Arts have announced the worldwide release date for Unravel.
Unravel will launch worldwide on February 9 as a digital down on Origin for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In celebration of the release date announcement, a new gameplay trailer was also released. The new trailer features new gameplay puzzles and locations featuring Yarny – the main character of Unravel – as he sets out on an adventure to reconnect the bonds of love.
“Gaming is a powerful platform, able to inspire players and touch their hearts. With Unravel, we’re hoping to do just that,” says Martin Sahlin, Creative Director at Coldwood. “Yarny’s quest is to mend broken bonds and the yarn represents the love and connection between people. Along the way, we’ll test your cleverness with environment-based puzzles inspired by our home in Northern Sweden.”
In Unravel players will control Yarny, utilising his yarn to solves puzzles and traverse an array of beautiful locations. Puzzles begin simple, but become more complex throughout the adventure as players must figure out creative ways to reach their goal.
Unravel will be available for $29.99 in Australia and New Zealand. EA Access members on Xbox One will also be able to play the game before the February 9 release and receive a 10% discount upon purchase. Unravel was announced at E3 earlier this year, where its charming aesthetic won the hearts of many Analog Addiction editors.
