Update: Bandai Namco Games Australia has confirmed Sword Art Online: Lost Song will be releasing in Europe, Australasia and Middle-East regions in spring, 2015. While Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment will release in Australasia in winter, 2015.

Original Story: Bandai Namco has announced two Sword Art Online games will be coming to PlayStation 4 in 2015, and yes, they are coming west.

The first is Sword Art Online: Lost Song, which will be coming to retail and digital stores on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in fall, 2015.

Lost Song will take place in Alfeim Online and include a completely original story with returning characters. Players will be able fly around the environment and partake in aerial battles, in an experience that promises over “50 hours of questing”.

The second game coming to PlayStation 4 is Sword Art Online Re: Hollow Fragment, which will release digitally in summer, 2015.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment was originally released as a download only title for the PlayStation Vita, with the new PlayStation 4 version having updated visuals, which can be seen in the announcement trailer below. Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment provides a similar experience to the original anime series, providing and MMO-esque gameplay adventure in a single player setting.

Those who have a previous Hollow Fragment save on PlayStation Vita will be happy to know some items are transferable to the PlayStation 4 version, and DLC from the handheld version will be able to be unlocked for the console version at a later date.

Analog Addiction will have more on both Sword Art Online: Lost Song and Sword Art Online RE: Hollow Fragment as soon as it becomes available.
