Ubisoft has released a new trailer for Tom Clancy’s The Division, which details the methods used to visually create the city of New York on PC.
The new video features Anders Holmquist, Technical Director on The Division, who explains the NVIDIA technology that was used to create The Division on PC. Holmquist states that Ubisoft has worked very closely with NVIDIA to create “the most immersive and realistic version of New York”.
Those who love graphical details, will appreciate the techniques used to create The Division on PC. Ubisoft utilised HBAO+ techniques to create “deeper and more realistic shadows”, while also using PCSS to create softer shadows to help create a more realistic looking environment.
