Nintendo has released a new trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, alongside an explanation on how the Download Play features work.
The new trailer gives an extensive look at the cooperative gameplay featured in Tri Force Heroes, while also clarifying how the Download Play feature will work.
Due to the fact Tri Force Heroes is a multiplayer centric experience, players can share the game with other players who don’t have a copy of Tri Force Heroes. This will allow those without the game to start gathering resources and creating outfits before purchase, with the data available to be transferred once they buy a copy.
Download Play will only work in the three-player campaign mode, which means the PVP features won’t be accessible. There are also no restrictions as to which dungeons or worlds you can accompany the sharing player – if they have it unlocked, you can visit. Additionally, players can create two outfits based on the ones created by the sharing player.
The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes was originally announced at E3, before it was announced to release October 23 in North America and October 24 in Australia for the Nintendo 3DS in retail and digitally on the eShop.
