‘Skylanders SuperChargers’ Launching September

Activision has announced Skylanders SuperChargers, which will launch on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 3DS, and iPad.

Skylanders SuperChargers will be the first entry in the long running series to introduce vehicles, which will range from land, sky and sea machines. Players will be able to take part in vehicular combat, races down roaring rapids, and even partake in aerial dogfights in the sky above. Skylanders SuperChargers will still feature on-foot platforming and combat sections throughout.

Skylanders SuperChargers will feature a new class of heroes, known as (you guessed it) the SuperChargers. Kaos returns to wreak havoc on our Skylanders and the SuperChargers must use their new abilities to help stop him. Kaos’ latest attempt to rule Skylands includes his most sinister weapon yet, known as the “Doomstation of Ultimate Doomstruction”. This new weapon is able to eat the sky itself, which is why this special team of Skylanders is called forth.

Any Skylander figurine is able to ride any vehicle, but players will receive an exclusive mod that increases the power of both the vehicle and character if you pair a SuperCharger Skylander with its signature ride. Skylanders SuperChargers will add an additional twenty new SuperCharger characters and 20 new vehicles available, but don’t fret, as all 300 plus Skylanders figures already available will all be playable in Skylanders SuperChargers.

The Skylanders SuperChargers Start Pack will include two new Skylanders characters (Spitfire and StealthElf), a Skylanders vehicle (Hot Streak), newly designed Portal of Power and a copy of Skylanders SuperChargers.

Skylanders SuperChargers will launch on September 20 in North America, September 24 in Australia and September 25 in New Zealand and Europe.
