Drinkbox Studios has announced Severed will launch for PlayStation Vita on April 26.
Known for being the creators of Tales from Space: About a Blob, Mutant Blobs Attack, and the critically acclaimed Guacamelee!, Severed is the latest creation from Drinkbox Studios. Severed is a first-person dungeon crawler where players must sever limbs from their enemies, and then equip those pieces to gain their powers. Players control Sasha, a warrior who finds herself in a unbelievable fantasy world, as she attempts to find the missing members of her family.
Severed was originally planned to release during Spring 2015, but Drinkbox Studios became inspired with new ideas during a demo at PlayStation Experience in December 2014, which forced them to delay the game in order to implement these new ideas. After an entire year of extra work, the studio is finally ready to release Severed to Sony’s handheld device.
Severed will launch April 26, with PlayStation Plus members receiving a 10% launch week discount. Severed fans can also download and stream the original game soundtrack which is available here.
